The terms that apply when you use unitedpress.uk or buy services from United Press. We have written them in plain English, so you know exactly what to expect.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of unitedpress.uk and to any services you buy from United Press (“United Press”, “we”, “us”), Brook’s Mews, Bond Street, London W1K 4HA. By placing an order or using our website you agree to these terms, together with our Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If anything in your written order confirmation differs from these terms, the order confirmation applies for that order.
United Press provides public relations and media services to businesses and individuals in the UK and worldwide, including:
Before you pay, we send you a written order confirmation describing the service, the publications or items involved, how articles will be labelled, the deliverables and the timeline. A contract is formed when you accept the order confirmation and make payment.
Please check the order confirmation carefully. Our guarantees are measured against what it says.
All services are paid for in full and in advance, before work begins. The amount and any applicable taxes are stated in your order confirmation. We do not start work, contact publications or submit requests until payment has been received.
Because you pay in advance, we back our work with clear guarantees. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Refunds are issued within 14 days of us confirming that the refund applies.
To deliver your service, we rely on you to:
We may decline or stop work on content that we reasonably believe is unlawful, misleading or likely to breach a publication’s rules.
Publications are independent businesses with their own editorial standards. Some publish arranged content as editorial, some with a discreet label and some as sponsored or partner content. We tell you the label for each title in your order confirmation, and we never present arranged content as independent journalism.
Publications may make minor edits for style, length or legal reasons. Earned media coverage, where a journalist decides independently whether to write about you, is never guaranteed unless your order confirmation specifically says so.
Publications control their own websites. Unless your order confirmation says otherwise, we cannot guarantee how long an article will remain online after it has gone live, or how it will rank in search engines or appear in AI tools.
We work only through lawful routes, such as platform policy reports, publisher and webmaster requests, and legal processes. We do not create fake reviews, post misleading content, impersonate anyone or hack, threaten or harass any person or platform. We may decline requests that we believe are intended to hide information that is accurate and in the public interest.
Wikipedia is run by independent volunteer editors who make the final decision on every article. We follow Wikipedia’s rules, including disclosing our relationship with you as the Wikimedia Terms of Use require, and submitting new articles for independent review. What is promised for each Wikipedia project is stated in your order confirmation, and the promise guarantee in our Refund Policy applies to it.
If you want to cancel an order, contact us at office@unitedpress.uk as soon as possible. If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel a service contract made at a distance within 14 days, as explained in our Refund Policy. Refunds in all other cases are handled under our Refund Policy.
You keep ownership of the materials you give us. You grant us permission to use them to deliver your service. Once an article is published, the publication’s own terms apply to the published version. You may share links to your published coverage freely.
With your permission, we may mention published coverage as an example of our work. We will never share confidential information or reputation management work without your consent.
We keep your business information, unpublished stories and reputation management requests confidential, and use them only to deliver your service, unless the law requires us to disclose them.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue or opportunity. If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.
The content on unitedpress.uk is for general information. DA and DR figures, timelines and publication details may change and are confirmed for each order in writing. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or copy its content for commercial purposes without our permission.
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, email office@unitedpress.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint and work with you to resolve it fairly and promptly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you accept your order confirmation.
