Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making unitedpress.uk usable by everyone, whatever their abilities or the technology they use.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. Our commitment

United Press wants everyone to be able to find out about our services, read our guides and contact us without barriers. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we review the site against those guidelines as we add new pages and features.

2. What we have done

  • Readable text: body text uses high-contrast colours on plain backgrounds, and text can be resized to at least 200% without loss of content.
  • Clear structure: pages use a single main heading followed by meaningful sub-headings, lists and landmarks, so screen-reader users can navigate by section.
  • Keyboard access: menus, links, buttons and our contact form can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Forms: every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and error messages are shown in text.
  • Images: informative images carry alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Links: link text describes its destination rather than “click here”.
  • Motion: moving elements such as logo strips are decorative, do not flash, and do not block reading.
  • Mobile: the site adapts to any screen size and works in portrait and landscape without horizontal scrolling.

3. Known limitations

We are working on the following and will update this statement as they are fixed:

  • Some older images and publication logos may have incomplete alternative text.
  • Third-party content that we embed — such as the cookie consent banner, live chat and map links — is provided by other companies and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Downloadable documents, such as PDF proposals and case studies, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need any document in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide it.

4. Getting help

If any part of the website is difficult for you to use, you can contact us by phone or WhatsApp on 07447 882377, or by email at office@unitedpress.uk, and we will help you directly. We are happy to take enquiries, send proposals and handle orders by phone or email instead of through the website.

Guidance on adjusting your own device and browser — for example to enlarge text, change colours or use a screen reader — is available from AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way.

5. Feedback and reporting problems

We welcome feedback. If you find a page, document or feature that is not accessible, email office@unitedpress.uk with the page address and a description of the problem. We acknowledge accessibility reports within two working days and aim to fix genuine barriers as quickly as we can, prioritising anything that stops you contacting us or reading our policies.

This statement was prepared on 7 October 2026 following a review of the site’s main templates, forms and policy pages. We will review it at least once a year.
